Reclamation StationTM is Ecologic Designs' national recycling program for individuals, communities and organizations. We want to help you identify the value in your waste stream and work with you to reclaim those valuable materials. Utilize our private label manufacturing service and take part in a true cradle-to-cradle, closed-loop production process! Be a part of our reclamation revolution.
We repurpose materials that are either financially unviable or impossible to recycle. We also consider the negative impacts a material will create if it sits in a landfill or is incinerated. Some impacts include speed of breakdown, toxins used in production and caused by disposal and the volume of usable supply. With this unique directive, we find materials that hold tremendous resource value. Our goal as reclamation engineers is to maximize the production, consumer and cradle-to-cradle resource value with every material.
Below are some of the materials with which we manufacture products.
Highway Billboards & Vinyl Banners are made from PVC vinyl, with a Nylon scrim, which cannot be recycled. Because it is destined for the landfill, we use billboards and banners in ways which brings value back to the material. These materials are designed for outdoor use; they're protected with color guards and of course, they're waterproof. Not only are they a great way to reduce waste, but they make unique, colorful bags and accessories.

National Vinyl Billboard/Banner Reclamation Program:
Thousands of billboards are produced in the United States every year. Billboards are primarily made from heavy duty PVC Vinyl. We save thousands of pounds of this material from going into the landfills every year. We work closely with vinyl manufacturers and billboard brokers to reclaim billboards that are headed for the landfill.
We also work with people who are having events or running private advertising campaigns to repurpose their vinyl waste. Check out our B2B page
Rubber Inner Tubes are made from vulcanized rubber, which currently is cost prohibitive to be recycled on a large scale. Thus, this is also a material that is headed for the landfill. Our reclamation services bring life and value back into this material by converting it into usable products. We make durable accessories and bags out of inner tubers from bikes, tractors and trucks.

National Bicycle Inner Tube Reclamation Program:
We are all avid bikers who understand that thousands of pounds of rubber from our blown-out bicycle tubes have traditionally have been filling up our landfills. Ecologic Designs' National Rope Recycling Program has been created in an effort to reduce the waste produced by the bicycling industry. We incorporate the blown-out bicycle inner tubes on every messenger bag that we produce. The blown-out inner tubes are also used to make Green Guru Pouches, Chalk Bags and our Blow-out Wallets.
Neoprene Wetsuits are made from polychloroprene a synthetic rubber also known as Neoprene which comes in many thicknesses and densities. Although this material is recyclable, it is often thrown away later to be incinerated or left in a landfill.

National Neoprene Wetsuit Reclamation Program:
Ecologic Designs Nation Neoprene Wetsuit Recycling Program has been created to reduce waste generated by the surfing, SCUBA, fishing and paddle sports industries. We reclaim, process and repurpose this non-biodegradable material to produce environmentally friendly products all made in the USA. Join us in greening our waterscapes.
Nylon Climbing Rope is made with a variety of materials such as nylon and other proprietary synthetic blends, which make recycling difficult. We assist in the recycling process by removing recyclables from the rope, sending those to reclamation agents, and using the sheath for our products. This is a super strong and colorful material, which is totally useful for decades after its initial, short lifespan.

National Climbing Rope Reclamation Program:
Thousands upon thousands of miles of rope are produced every year. Ecologic Designs National Rope Recycling Program has been created in an effort to reduce the waste produced by the climbing industry. We use retired rope to manufacture unique Green Guru climbing rope products, Bracelets, Key Chains and Chalk Bags.
Ropes that are extremely worn, torn, frayed, discolored, or just downright ratty may be sent to our partners at Sterling Rope to be recycled. (Please use your best judgment.)
