Well aren't we the road warrior gurus? Our road team just got back from the Rothbury Music Festival held in Michigan over the 4th of July long weekend. We must say that this was certainly one of the finest events that we have attended. If I were to talk about excellent music, beautiful venues, and perfect weather, there is a very good chance that I'm babbling about this event.

40,000 people, young and old, descended upon a quiet farm in rural Rothbury, MI. These festivals tend to be organized chaos and this one certainly fit the bill. But this festival was about empowering attendees to make a difference. To help this, the team that put on the event made sure that this was one of the most sustainable of all festivals. Where there are usually piles of trash mixed with recyclables at the end of a four day event, this festival had recycle, compost and landfill bins scattered around the massive compound. To help the community Rothbury funded a solar panel installation at a local elementary school! Very cool. Various other conscious initiatives made this a very green event.

While we enjoyed our time, we are excited to be back in Boulder. Thanks to all the great people that made Rothbury a great festival. We look forward to next year!
