Climbing Ropes have a very interesting story. In some cases, they are used indoors and outside for long periods of time. Many however, don’t even see the light of day and are only safe to be used for climbing for a few months. Once a Climbing Rope has endured a few falls, they are decommissioned from climbing use. This goes for camps, climbing gyms, beginners and avid climbers.
The problem is, a new rope is good for roughly 35 years, and most are unusable within their first year of life.
This is where Ecologic Designs comes in to repurpose climbing ropes into fashionable, clean and colorful bracelets and key chains. There are five different sizes, ranging from XS-XL, and a rainbow of color possibilities.
