Well, it certainly has been a great year for Ecologic Designs. We have traveled thousands of miles, designed many new products and are developing some very cool partnerships - and had a fun time doing so!

I want to thank our people - our most important asset. A year ago, our team was a small, efficient group with a burning passion to grow. Today, we stand tall with a hard working team forging new paths in sustainable operation and manufacture as well as green product design. I can't describe the amazing changes that I've witnessed since our inception. Thanks guys and gals!

We would not be where we are without you. You - the owners of a Green Guru item - are to thank for such a great response to our intiatives and products! You have made 2008 a wonderful experience and I look forward to the excellent possibilities in 2009! Let's make '09 one to remember.

Before I go, I'd like to give a shout out to a couple of the organizations that hooked up a review or entered us into a gift guide this holiday season.

Environmental News Network (ENN) showed Green Guru Gear much respect when they included us in their sweet press release about saving the earth while getting exercise. Not only that but we were in their number one of seven ways to be fit and green - yeah, coolness.

Mother Nature Network (MNN) hooked up a great post for their Cheap and Green Gift Guide. and cool picture of our smaller products. There even may be a coupon code somewhere...

Great stuff! Also want to let you know about a cool energy fair happening in Manitou Springs, CO this January. Old Town Bike Shop is going to raffle off one of our Billboard Small Deluxe Messengers. I'll get you more info when it comes my way!

Gritstone Rock Club is hosting the 2008 American Bouldering Series at their Auburn, CA location on December 6th. You have to witness these athletes as they smoothly maneuver through the toughest problems on Gritstone's difficult, natural features.

No fatty jugs for these spider-people, they will face an onslaught of tiny crimpers, slick slopers and the gnarliest of gnarly problems. You will watch, and you will be amazed.

We are happy to announce that we are the Featured Vendor of the Week during Ellie's Eco Products Grand Opening!

Green Guru's booth will be setup with a whole bunch of great, green gear from Sat 15th through Sun 23rd.

Born in Boulder, the Adventure Film Festival - a really cool nonprofit - will show a variety of awesome films educating and entertaining thousands this weekend.

Come to the Boulder Theater and B Sides Lounge Nov 6-8 for a seriously great time. With films such as Oil + Water, Klunkerz, Get Up Stand Up, Aerialist, and Recycled Life, you are bound to find something that inspires you to the core.

This festival travels the world, showing the coolest films for the benefit of all adventurers. They'll be stopping in Chamonix, France and Santiago, Chile, which are some of the most extreme and beautiful environments for all types of outdoors people. Feel like a little travel? We feel it - let's go!

Green Guru's Reclamation Station will be set up at both B Sides Lounge and the Boulder Theater so drop on by with your old climbing ropes, neoprene wetsuits and bike inner tubes. We'll haul 'em away, and create some really cool products that are built for your daily adventures. See you there!

We are proud to announce that our Corporate Sustainability Report (CSR) for the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) has been nominated for two awards: Best 1st Time Report and Best Small Medium Enterprise Report! This is an exciting prospect because we are competing against some of the largest corporations in the world! By quite a bit, we are the smallest company to submit one of these reports. Now it is up to you to vote. Sounds familiar, huh?

Our 2007 CSR received an A+ which is their highest ranking and we are only one of 14 companies in our manufacturing category. Some of our competitors have a tri-fold brochure whereas our report is more of a novel at 42 pages. It details almost every aspect of our business transparency and that is why we have been nominated for these awards.

All you have to do is go to Corporate Register to sign up. Once signed up, go to the awards section and vote for Ecologic Designs in the Best 1st Time and Best SME Report categories.
